Hot Wedding Trends for 2016

Checking out bridal runways is a great way to get some “dress-spiration”! Whether you’re keen to recreate your own version of a royal wedding, or intent on going down the aisle in a unique way, here are a few of our hot wedding trends for 2016:

  • Metallic – using elements of gold and silver add an extra special touch of sparkle and bling. Rose gold and copper especially are expected to make an impressive appearance in embellishments and accessories.
  • Feathers – to make a striking statement, designers have been incorporating feathers into traditional gowns to add warmth, romance and fun.
  • Boho – by choosing off-the-shoulder wedding dresses, soft colour palettes of cream and blush, and floral additions, boho chic offers a simple, subtle and classic look.
  • Mismatched bridesmaids – everyone’s body shape and character are different, so allow your bridesmaids to express theirs by choosing their own dress in a style and colour that suits them.
  • Open-back – flaunt your back walking down the aisle with a keyhole or open back dress, ensuring that nobody’s eyes leave you. Incredibly sexy, these designs are great for Spring and Summer.
  • Tiers – using exaggerated cascades of layers in the skirt, whether in tulle or silk, gives a full floaty effect.
  • Prints – For a bride who’s decided a white wedding dress just doesn’t cut it, a floral print design will prove to be a real show stopper. To get that more offbeat look, choose from either soft and subtle watercolour prints or colourful bold patterns.
