I know in the wedding dress industry we like to be prepared, but here at Catherine Francis Bridal Boutique in Arundel, we now have most of our 2013 stock available to try on and order in the store now! The dress designers have been influenced heavily by the preference for lace dresses, and many now have straps or sleeves. This is an interesting concept, and is still an effect, it can only be assumed, from the Royal Wedding of William and Catherine back in 2011. Wedding dresses by Essense, Justin Alexander and Benjamin Roberts have all seen elements of lace or detailing added to the dress designs in a shift in the trends from the traditional silk and satin gowns. We have also seen an increase in more ‘vintage’ style weddings, also calling for more of a lace style wedding dress.
